WAR??!!!

Hollywood is known for bring liberal town, where conservatives like Jon Voight and Chuck Norris seem outnumbered by cadre of clooneys and weinsteins. so when it comes to problems, it would follow that the thrust of movies touching on some of the people's relationship with illegal substances but the government's war on the illegal substance and the DEA. but it not that easy, because Hollywood liberal it probably, is a town built business, where movies cost and make tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars.
as a result to illegal theme  in movies there two main categories which these films: message movies and action film. like " Scarface " and "Half Nelson".....
but seeing what filmmakers like Oliver stone have to say on the topic; and what pictures like "Scarface"
reveal about the America's view of drug commerce....................

i think this article is important because it effects people and sends a bad message and also Hollywood is not helping that much and with the government trying to stop this madness .... so it send the wrong message wont it effect others ?

i think this impact me as a student and also a future filmmaker because what happens if i'm trying to make a action film but i don't want to send a wrong message?  this article made me realize that you always have to be careful as a filmmaker............

  1. Hollywood is just using the drugs to advance their plots or provide a comedic theme so I don't really think the government is trying to stop them. Its not like they're encouraging kids to smoke and such so they don't really send a bad message that affects others. For example, "Tropic Thunder" the actors playing as soldiers fight against heroin kingpin.

(Your link is incomplete... it's not working O_O so I had to google the article.)
